Dr. Caroline Jose is scientific researcher for the Vitalité Health Network in Moncton, NB. Previously Director of Clinical research and specialized clinics for the Network, Dr Jose now dedicates most of her time to research in the field of autism. She leads a patient-oriented research program on the health of adults with neurodevelopmental disabilities in Atlantic Canada. Dr Jose is also the Scientific Lead of the CHU Dumont Biobank and of the Clinical Trials platforms of Vitalité.
Dr Jose holds a PhD in Cellular Pathophysiology from Université Bordeaux-Segalen in France, where she studied cancer metabolism and the genetics of normal to malign cells transformation. She decided then to enroll medical studies to understand the physiology of diseases from a clinical perspective. During 3 years, she acquired the skills and knowledge necessary to pursue her career in translational research, a type of research that seeks to move science discoveries more quickly and efficiently into practice. She completed her training with a postdoc in Padova, Italy and another one at the Atlantic Cancer Research Institute in Moncton, NB.
Committed to do research that has a tangible impact for patients, she accepted a position as Research Associate for the Maritime SPOR SUPPORT Unit, a research unit dedicated to Patient-Oriented Research and rapidly became the regional champion of patient engagement in health research.
She has published numerous articles in scientific journals and has received several awards and grants for her research. She is renown for her innovative knowledge transfer approaches and her talent to bring people together to improve research and patient outcomes, notably in the autism research community.
In addition to her research, Dr Jose is also actively involved in training the next generation of patient-oriented researchers. She is an adjunct Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the Université de Sherbrooke, QC, and is involved in the training of graduate students in Health Sciences and of pre-doctoral medical students.

Andrée Robichaud

Andrée Robichaud has acquired extensive experience over the last two decades as a health care executive. Ms. Robichaud is the President and CEO of the Central Health Authority in Newfoundland and Labrador and served as interim President and CEO of the Scarborough Rouge Hospital, as well as President and CEO of the Rouge Valley Health System, Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, Thunder Bay Regional Research Institute, and the Vitalité Santé Regional Health Authority in Bathurst, New Brunswick.
Ms. Robichaud also brings strategic planning and policy development experience as the former Associate Deputy Minister of Health with the Government of New Brunswick.
Ms. Robichaud is an active participant in the community and has chaired the Conference of Federal Provincial Deputy Ministers Advisory Committee on Health Delivery and Health Human Resources.
